Hongtao Liu is a professor and doctoral supervisor working at the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). He is born in January 1981, Inner Mongolia, , P. R. China. He graduated with a doctor in mining engineering from the China University of Mining and Technology(Beijing) in 2007.He has successively presided over 3 projects and 3 key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China , one project funded by Beijing Youth Talent Program Project and dozens of commercial projects. He serves as the Youth Editorial Board member of Journal of China Coal Society, and has received 13 Provincial and ministerial awards.His research interests include mining pressure and surrounding rock control, tunnel support and disaster prevention.
