Peng Liu is an associate professor and the PhD supervisor at the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). Hemainly engages in rock mechanics during hydraulic fracturing of unconventional reservoirs, and the visualization of the evolution law and stress field of three-dimensional fractures. His doctoral thesis was nominated for the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of the university, and he is now a reviewer for the Journal of Mining and various international academic journals. He has been in charge of more than 10 research projects, including the Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Programme of China, and special grants from the Postdoctoral Fund. He has publishedover 20 SCI papers in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Engineering Fracture Mechanics, Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, and other international academic journals. He has published more than 20 SCI papers in international journals. He has been granted 7 international invention patents in the US, UK, and Australia, 5 Chinese invention patents, 1 provincial and ministerial teaching achievement award, 1 university teaching quality award, and his students have been awarded the outstanding graduates of Beijing and university level, and theexceptional graduation design of the university.
